New Rules for Contacting Staff

An automated attendant allows callers to be automatically transferred to an extension without the intervention of an operator/receptionist. Yale Enforcement Services, Inc. utilizes an auto attendant that offers a simple menu system. While many people report disliking automated attendants, it is the quickest way for us to offer support to our employees. At times, language barriers also delay the transfer of a phone call. By dialing the person’s extension you are calling directly, it takes the guess work out of the
operator determining where to transfer your call. Effective October 10th, 2011, all employees will be required to contact their schedulers and personnel coordinators directly and not by pressing “0” for an operator. Non-scheduling or payroll issues may be directed to the administrative assistant.

Bernie Tracy,
Regional Vice President
