Yale Enforcement Services offers rank advancement opportunities to all officers. Each quarter (January, April, July, October), personnel files are reviewed for each officer to determine if requirements have been met for rank advancement. Requirements for rank advancement are located on pages 10 & 11 of your Yale Enforcement Services Employee Handbook.
Each rank, starting with Senior Security Officer, now has its own training module located within the Yale Enforcement Services computer based training site. In order to attain any advance in rank, you must complete different levels of computer based training, as detailed in your Employee Handbook. If you login to the computer based training site and do not have access to the proper training module needed, please contact your local office. A member of the office staff will assign access to the rank advancement training module respective to your level of employment.
In addition to attaining rank advancement, these training modules will further your knowledge, skills and competencies so that you can better perform the required duties of your job. Increasing your knowledge, be it work related or not, is a value that cannot be measured.
