Yale Enforcement Officer Killed

Memphis Police are searching for two suspects after a Yale Enforcement Services security officer was shot and killed late Sunday. Officer Reginald Thompson was shot while attempting to stop two suspects that were entering the property. Officers were called to the apartment complex just before 9:30pm. When the police arrived they found Officer Thompson laying at the entrance with multiple gun shot wounds. Officer Thompson was transported in extremely critical condition and later died at the Hospital. Police continue to search for the two suspects.

Officer Thompson had been employed with Yale Enforcement Services, Inc. since July 15th, 2011 and was previously employed with Hoorah Security, a Memphis security company that was acquired by Yale in July. The management and staff of Yale Enforcement Services would like to extend their heartfelt condolences to the family of Officer Thompson. Officer Thompson was 41.
