Region 5 Employee of the Month

Sgt. Shane Bilbrey distinguished himself by exceptionally meritorious achievement while assigned to cover a later shift. Sgt. Bilbrey was called to the PBX where he was confronted with a dilemma. The PBX operator’s husband came in to the hospital in critical condition, thus causing the only operator on duty to scramble for help.  Sgt. Bilbrey’s quick response and overwhelming dedication relieving the PBX operator in her time of need while he made the contacts for the operators relief allowing the operator to spend vital time with her husband, demonstrated superior character in aiding in the continuous function of the hospital communication. Bilbrey was able to secure relief for the operator while maintaining his duties. Sgt. Bilbrey’s dedication to duty is evident with the quality of communications he provided for the hospital coupled with the compassion he showed toward the operator’s family in their time of need.

The distinctive accomplishment of Sgt. Bilbrey reflects great credit upon himself, the facility, and Yale Enforcement Services.

Mark Tuggle, Lieutenant-Region 5
